  10. ATTENTION MAC OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a link to the best software to run Windows, and therefore Paragon, on your Mac. After reading review after review Paralells is far and away the most recommended way to go.

If this link does not work go to paralles.com

  11. What is everyone's experience with AntiVirus and AntiSpam software? I recently dumped the Norton package and installed the McAfee suite, which is available at no cost to Comcast customers. I am happy with that so far, and my computer seems to perform better.

    Any Feedback?

  12. Ruk,

I have not made the switch. I am still using Norton. It is interesting though how McAfee is working noticably better for you. May be worth the switch.

  13. Can't recommend enough switching to McAfee from Norton. Norton OWNS your computer (and not in a good way), slows it way, way down and leaves annoying little tentacles behind unless it is completely and correctly uninstalled (a three-part process) when you do finally make the switch. Even if you get a new machine with a Norton trial period, just decline it and install McAfee, especially if you are a Comcast customer and can download it free of charge.

  14. I have used both McAfee and Norton over the years. Acually there is another anti-virus program called AVG. It used to be free but now they are charging a yearly fee of about 60 bucks. Check out http://anti-virus-solution.com/avg/index.asp You can try it free for 30 days. Currently I am running a Corporate version of Norton. You pay a one time fee and it gets updated daily. A local company in the area offers this program. The program has worked flawlessly with no interuptions of my programs. If interested drop me a line and I can refer the company.
Anti Virus is a start but you must have an anti-spyware program that should be run monthly to clean up the garbage you pick up on line. That is what makes your computer run slower.

  15. Great service to the members- I started my blog 2 years ago- and the response has been very positive. http://anndelaney.com/

  16. SJbeachhomes: Thanks for confirming my thoughts on McAfee as the better product.

JeffHallamore: Thanks for the "heads up" on AVG. That might work well in a large brokerage. Good to hear from you!

  17. There is still a free version of AVG available, although when you go to look for it, they obviously try to sell you the paid version. I wasn't able to keep Norton because of how intrusive it was...plus it was hogging all of my computing resources. The free version of AVG has been working great for me.

  18. We have all been invited to a cyberhomes presentation on 2/23 at 10 am. I spoke with Ann Marie, who initiated the invitation, to be sure it isn't a sales pitch. Ann Marie assured me that it isn't and that Audrey will be able to enlighten us about options that Paragon and Cyberhomes offer that we are not currently using. Let's all take a peek at cyberhomes.com and see whether we are interested.
